As I prepare to head off to Barcelona with the family in a few days, I can't help but be excited about all the new experiences my kids are going to be exposed to while we're in Spain. We're spending a few days in Barcelona before making our way to the Costa Brava for a TBEX travel conference at the end of the month.
As you may know, after moving to Paris at the beginning of the year, I started writing about our travel experiences on Gluten Free Family Travel, and I'm excited to meet some other bloggers and travel professionals who work in the industry. The conference fell smack-dab in the middle of school holidays here in France, so we decided to make a family vacation out of it.

We Have Big Travel Plans for 2015!
We're moving to France! We applied for our long term visas (1 year) on Wednesday, and then settled in for a two week or more wait for a response. To our surprise, we received an email yesterday afternoon telling us that our visas had been approved and that we could pick them up next week.
We're ecstatic!
This has been a several month process of getting ready to go, and the approval process was what we were waiting on to make our dream a reality!

Travel
I'm leaving on a trip with work over the next two weeks. I'll be posting as often as I can and trying to find great places to write about and some gluten free travel tips as I go. I've already packed some snacks for the airport, and my bag is packed. Tomorrow I'll pack my carry on and then hope that I don't leave anything important behind (crossing fingers!).
Some comfy clothes, a good book and some snacks packed in my carry-on, and I'll be ready for the many, many hours on a plane tomorrow. I'll try and get in a post before I leave, and then I'll post as I can along the way.
There will be no menu plan posted this weekend or next, but I'll be taking note of new meal ideas and delicious treats.
First stop: Paris!
